Southeastern Regional Ballet Association
A division of Regional Dance America
Southern Ballet Theatre has been a member of the Southeastern Regional Ballet
Association, (SERBA), since 2000. SERBA is one of five divisions of Regional Dance
America, (RDA), a national association of dance companies founded in 1988 to
promote the artistic development of dance companies throughout the United States.
The organization offers instruction, scholarships, awards, and performance at
the annual SERBA festival held each spring. The festival is hosted by one of over twenty-seven SERBA member companies. Each year the festivals bring over 800
dancers, directors, choreographers, and professional support personnel along with
nationally reconized instructors and musicians. The festival consists of three days
of instruction and performances.
